What is the freedom that they seek,
the want from which, they reek?
They seek to defy?
Or seek to fly?
or any other truth
they want to belie?
What is the freedom that they seek,
the want from which, they reek?
They call themselves the wise,
Tolerant and liberal to the core.
And yet, their narrative, when someone defies
Quick they are, to settle the score.
What is the freedom that they seek,
the want from which, they reek?
Freedom to speak is what they seek,
Freedom to be the voice of the meek
And yet, why their support only extends,
to the sycophants of their clique?
What is the freedom that they seek,
the want from which, they reek?
Their ilk bilks those they claim to help
At the slightest trigger, "intolerance!", "Aazaadi!",they yelp.
From opposing a PM, to opposing a nation,
all for the need of their daily rations.
What is the freedom that they seek,
the want from which, they reek?
Their outrage, their acrimony, their anger
Their slogans, their shouts, their clangor,
is only for those, who play by their rules,
is only for those, who act as their tools.
What is the freedom...
For long we heard, only their side of the tale,
For long, we entertained those, who kept their souls for sale
For long, we played, by their rules
For long, we allowed ourselves to be made their fools
Call me a troll, or IT cell with a task,
but this question, I will again ask
